What We’re Making:

    Golden-bottomed dumplings with juicy, savory filling and that signature crispy skirt

  • Crispy Rice Paper Rolls
    Light, crunchy rolls filled with vegetables and herbs, served with a bright dipping sauce

  • Chicken & Mushroom Dumpling “Pillows” in Miso Broth
    Soft, delicate dumplings served in a warm, umami-rich miso broth with greens

Class Description:

This hands-on class is all about the art (and fun) of dumpling-making. We’ll work with different wrappers, fillings, and cooking techniques from pan-frying to steaming to building a deeply flavorful broth. You’ll learn how to fold dumplings like a pro, create bold, balanced fillings, and master that perfect crispy-bottom finish.

We’ll snack as we go, cook side-by-side, and end the night gathered around the table enjoying everything family-style.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to make and season dumpling fillings that are juicy and balanced

  • Folding techniques (pleats, half-moons, and rustic styles)

  • How to achieve crispy-bottom dumplings (the “skirt” technique)

  • Working with rice paper without tearing or sticking

  • Building a quick, deeply flavorful miso broth

  • Pan-frying vs. steaming vs. boiling

What to Bring & Wear

  • Comfortable closed-toed shoes

  • An apron
